A funny look back in time

It’s 4.30 AM here and I can’t sleep, so I thought I’d post a few funny screenshots from the development of Mizuu – how it looked back then and how it looks now.

Here’s the movie overview screen – it started out without a theme, and it’d crash if it had more than approximately 30 movies in the library due to memory constraints. Now you can choose between two layouts and I think it looks fantastic. Might need to work on the menu buttons at the top though ๐Ÿ™‚

Next up is the movie details view, which has also been updated quite a bit since the initial release. First came a theme and more options, then came the backdrop images, quickly followed by actor info and backdrops and in the latest version it all integrates in a cool layout that focuses on visual content.

Lastly I’d like to show how minor updates and differences can completely change the look and feel of a feature – in this case it’s the manual identification feature for movies.

ย Naturally, these are just some of the many changes from the initial versions of Mizuu, but I think it’s funny to take a look back in time and hopefully you’ve enjoyed it as well ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. You have done an awesome job, the GUI is beautiful! I wish my XBMC was this simple to set-up and looked this good. My favorite tablet app. Thanks!

    • Thanks a lot, much appreciated! I’m going to continue adding small improvements and fixing areas that can be improved. If you have any suggestions – any at all – please feel free to contact me ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Great improvements I always recommend this app to all my friends with tablets. I love the widget also.

    • Thanks Edgar, I’m always quite happy with the improvements ๐Ÿ™‚
