What’s happening next?

In this post I will briefly go through what I expect will happen in the next couple of updates.

Version 1.7.3
  • A new movie widget. Based on the feedback, a TV show widget will follow soon.
  • Minor bug fixes
  • Options to sort by genre and availability in Movies
  • Support for additional naming conventions for TV shows
  • A few other minor things…
Version 1.7.4
  • Improve subtitle support
  • Improved search functionality
  • Improved video player with some settings
  • Mizuu.tv integration
  • Option to sort or search by actors
  • Options to sort by genre and availability in TV shows
  • Remove movie parts limitation
  • TV show widget
Version 1.7.5
  • Add built-in subtitle search
  • Minor usability improvements
  • Social network integration, i.e. Facebook, Twitter and Trakt.tv
  • Option to use custom backdrop images
Version 1.8.0
  • Support for NAS devices
  • Other minor improvements
  • Translations
Now, like I said – these are just expected features, that I hope I’ll be able to add. I’m naturally interested to hear your thoughts as well. Please let me know if there’s anything you would like to see differently.

  1. Hello i personally am really looking forward to 1.8.0 as this is where i believe this app will shine more than it does now and will be the cream of the crop! I do love all the other updates and there is no way i can comment negatively!!!

  3. I think the “download subtitles” function from 1.7.5 should be higher up on the “to do”-list. Great app by the way. It is what makes my tablet usefull :).

    • I really want to make sure that the improved subtitle support in 1.7.4 works without any issues first. Then I’ll add the subtitle search 🙂
