Hello world!

Hello everybody and welcome to the newly launched Mizuu blog. This is the place where I’ll post details, ideas, screenshots and more cool stuff about the development progress.

I hope you’ll join the discussions and give your voice on the development of the application. The sole reason for development is the users, so it makes a lot of sense to listen to your wishes.

This is also the first place, you’ll hear about any development, new releases and other stuff related to the Mizuu application – so stay tuned if you enjoy using the application!

The next major version of the application will be version 1.7.0, which will introduce support for TV shows and a lot of other cool stuff. I’m expecting to have a beta ready in the beginning of next week. If you would like to participate in the beta, please leave a comment below, and I’ll get back to you when it’s ready. Above, you’ll find a quick sneak peek at the upcoming TV show support. Gotta’ love The Big Bang Theory, right?

A lot of stuff will happen on this blog within the coming days and weeks. Lots of cool tips and tricks will be posted for you to use.

Thanks a lot for your time and I look forward to get your feedback.

  4. Michell………. I have 403 movies in the app SO FAR!! Only SEVEN “real” movies though. The “real” movies seem to play just fine when selected. I keep the “real” movies as favorites, that way they can be “swapped out” with real movies at will…… Just copy a DVD over….. make it a favorite and voila!! The database seems to be just fine. I HAVE noticed that an occasional DVD cover will “swap itself out with the wrong movie. But after I “open” the info on the movie and return it is fine. But, it seems it is ONLY ONE at a time. As you know I’m testing all of this on my 32gig Motorola Xoom 3g/WiFi. The database is on the EXTERNAL SD card which is 16gig. Well off to add more DVD’s to my database. The Goal is 500, so I better get going. Because when the TV version gets here it will be ALL ABOUT that. I CAN”T WAIT!!!!

    Your beta tester 🙂

    • Hehe, great little story. Not sure what happens when it swaps the cover, but I hope it’s not a big issue 🙂 Cheers!

      • Not to me…. BTW… I’m not rooted…. Wherre is the DB stored. Can it be backed up?

        • It’s only visible if you’re using the Android SDK or a powerful file manager to view the contents of the device.

I will be adding a backup/restore feature in an upcoming version. Feel free to add it as a feature request 🙂

          • Hi Jim!

It’s at sdcard/data/com.miz.mizuu/databases – but I really doubt you’ll be able to find it, as it’s a private folder.

  6. OK…. It says it updated the 2 videos that I put in….. It showed that REALLY FAST…… Then…….. “0”/No videos show up in the app database says My TV Shows 0 shows in library. What is the naming convention for the “videos” that I’m using. I’m assuming all the info is coming off of thetvdb.com website? Help……. Suggestions Michell?

    • Hey Jim

Please check out the naming conventions in the FAQ section. Please send me emails for any issues, that’s much faster for me 🙂
