Mizuu – free or paid version?

It’s possible for me to see which search terms people have used to get to the site, and I quite often see queries asking what the difference is between the free and paid version of Mizuu. Thought I’d let you guys know in this short blog post.

The main difference between the free version and paid version is that the free version is ad-supported. It’ll show banner adverts in the four main overviews – Movies, TV Shows, Web Videos and Movie Trailers – and nowhere else. I don’t want the ads to be obtrusive, so they’re only in these places. Also, I fully respect people using ad blockers, so Mizuu won’t show you any images telling you to disable the ad blocker and likewise the layout will just expand and use the space that was reserved for ads.

The paid version also gets faster updates. The paid version has currently received more than 50 updates, while the free version has only been updated around 30 times. If you want updates as soon as possible, the paid version is definitely the way to go.

Also – you can support me by using the paid version. So, to sum it up – here are the advantages of the paid version:

  • No ads.
  • Faster updates.
  • A warm and cuddly feeling for supporting an indie developer.
