Mizuu is ready for Ice Cream Sandwich and Galaxy Nexus

I’ve just published version 1.7.5 of Mizuu, and the biggest change is the fact that it now supports Ice Cream Sandwich and the Galaxy Nexus.

Some of the other planned changes have been postponed to ensure quick support for Ice Cream Sandwich, but they’ll be in version 1.8.0, which is the next release. Looking at my to-do list, this is going to be one heck of an update!

Here’s the change log for version 1.7.5:

  • Added actors in TV shows
  • Added backdrop browser in TV shows
  • Added Justin.tv video player
  • Added option to select cover art from gallery
  • Added support for Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0
  • Added YouTube searches in TV shows
  • Improved video quality of videos from TED Talks
  • Layout changes
  • Minor bug fixes

As always, you can get the latest version via Android Market on your tablet or Galaxy Nexus or online. Mizuu will also pop up and let you know that a new version is available when you launch the application.

The free version will be updated in about a week. I really don’t have much time at the moment, and users of the paid version get updates first.

Please report any bugs you may encounter. I’d also love feedback on how it’s working for you on Galaxy Nexus, especially if there’s something that needs to be improved. I’m still a newbie at developing for two kinds of devices (tablets and phones) in one application package, so I can really use all the help I can get. Thanks!

    • It’s coming VERY soon. When I released the 1.7.5 update, Android 4.0.3 (API level 15) didn’t exist, so the app is limited to Android 4.0.1 (API level 14). Send me an email if you want it right away 🙂

      Edit: It’s out now!
