Support for high-resolution devices

I’ve just received the third e-mail today regarding support for the newer devices with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. Mizuu currently doesn’t support this, as the Android SDK won’t allow me to create the emulator required to test everything. I’ve contacted the Android developer team multiple times regarding the issue, but it seems like they don’t really care…

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I am aware of the issue and that it’s something I’m working on. I always test out layouts and such on devices or emulators before releasing it, and it just hasn’t been possible with this.

The affected devices are currently the Acer Iconia A700 and the Asus Transformer Infinity Pad – both have a 10-inch screen with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution.

  1. It pisses me off when I read things like this. Dude, your app is one of my favourite apps and it pains me that you want to put in the work and GOOGLE of all people are in your way. PLEASE don’t let this be a deterrent for you on the platform. Hopefully we will both get some good news come Wed – Fri this week when Google IO 2012 comes off. Are you planning on going?

Great app again and I (and my girlfriend) are looking forward to the future networking updates 🙂

    • I’m hoping for good news on Wednesday, yeah 🙂 I sadly won’t be able to go, but I’m planning on doing a 3-day Google I/O stream marathon 🙂

      (and thanks for buying Mizuu!)

      • Same here m8. Couldn’t afford to go. I live in Barbados so it would have been costly for the flight plus the hotel stay. But I have the Google IO app ready and rearing to go. I just wish I were home for the 3 day stretch to (hopefully) enjoy it all.

Do you have a Google+ or Twitter account or something that we can chat on moving forward? I’ve always wanted a cool Android developer friend that I can bitch to when I think Google is playing the fool. I’m at @leogrim as well as at my real name on Google +.

  2. Oh and in case you’re wondering.. I bought your app. I hate ads in my apps running on my phone/tablet + I always buy good apps.
